As to 'Adolescence', Kemi Badenoch's dunk on the BBC Breakfast presenters on this issue was right on point.

"I don't watch Netfix shows to inform me on these types of issues, in the same way I don’t need to watch Casualty to know about the NHS”

“I don’t need to watch a specific show to know what is going on in this country. It’s a fictional show! Let’s talk about what’s real.”

Understandable my man, do tell about the lands, not many venture there at all...

Looking forward to it.

Unrelated to world of Uzbekistan, I would love to hear your two cents about Dougies plight on Rogan and with Dave Smith there...

It almost seems like a litmus test of intelligence and general education levels, the whole online outrage on it.

Be well,

M

It appeared to me that Rogan is just ignorant of the subject matter, but also that Dave Smith was trolling Douglas with his obvious willful ignorance of the facts of the issue. Douglas was smart/perceptive enough to understand that Smith was winding him up on purpose but lost his cool abit.

Otherwise, Mr. Murray was showing a good grasp of the facts, and Mr. Smith was acting like a drunk at the pub who claimed he knew what he was talking about but didn't have a very good grasp on the facts, yet claimed that 'experts' were all wrong and that he was correct on the issue, despite his ignorance.

Dave Smith is a clever man, but in this case, his ignorance is a choice.

I always said that Dave is not an intelligent man, or he is enough intelligent to use outrage for his own ends… this is not me looking down on a man, but he is a product of his environment and education for sure…

Joe is just a bored man in this, but Joe wouldn’t claim crap like Dave, because he knows he may be wrong and he doesn’t need to, Dave needs to as it got him where he is…

Sasha Stone posted a thread on this.

Many were critical of Douglas Murray. ie He's an Intellectual Snob.

Example

"Shannon Dennis

1d

Douglas Murray is an elitist buffoon. Good to know it’s documented for everyone to see now."

"Janet McNeill Musings from Janet

2d

I find Douglas Murray very hard to take, personally. He seems to be looking down on the world from some imagined perch high, high above the rest of us. Intellectual snob, perhaps? I dunno. I find him ... I'll be polite. Very hard to take. Had to bail. (Note: I am not "taking sides" here. I just can't listen to Murray.)

Murray is a snob. Yes. No doubt.

He's also brilliant, thoughtful, well-educated and very well informed.

His excessive pride is grating. But he has reason to be prideful. He is almost never wrong.

As the old saying goes "It ain't bragging if you can back it up."

+ he speaks upper class British, that along makes him Sound snobbish.

Once again people are looking at The Sizzle not The Steak.

Had an overnight stay in Tashkent, lovely people. Their government not so much. I had visa problems with them, what a royal pain. Hope you’ve got all your papers in order KK. Looking forward to your input on the experience.

Re: 'Adolescence', I have written a piece on it, from the perspective of a school counsellor - it's on Save Mental Health's website and also my own Substack. There's a lot of superficial froth over the drama - we need to look beneath the surface. I'll be really interested to have your thoughts in due course.
