JSO: really well-meaning people who just don't know much

PP:

1st lady is nice but ignorant. Israel has 2M arabs, multiple ethnicities, religions all enjoying peace, equality, democracy, freedom of speech & expression.

That old Irish guy is a massive creep. He turned up at anti-Brexit protests & we'd just inch away from him. This was after a few people had heard him share his racist & antisemitic views.

Idiot woman who appears to think a border checkpoint between 2 countries is a seige. Israel supplies humanitarian aid, water, electricity, food, etc., which Egypt, who also has a border checkpoint, does not. I love her non alternative solution: 'the UN!'...is that it?

Faux fur hoody guy needs to look up the words Zionism, war and read some history books & stop it with the confirmation bias. Al-Jazeera is funded by Qatar where all the Hamas leaders live in luxury on all the stolen UN aid money. Great source for news, not biased at all.

'Too hard to sum up' and '2 state solution' guy is just thick as mince

I have no patience left for Irish people in Keffiya. None. No clue what real military looks like. Probably thinks the IRA were freedom fighters. Disgusting.

Trauma expert appears to recognise Palestinian trauma as being very important but Israeli trauma doesn't exist. Why would that be? Maybe she thinks it's not traumatising to witness gang rape & putting a bullet through the back of the head of the woman you're still raping. Interesting take.

These protestors lack critical thinking skills and scope of knowledge. This is like watching a 2nd grader try to explain calculus.

These protestors lack the building blocks of knowledge to speak coherently about these topics they feel so passionate about. These are childish, emotional, narcissistic people who want the things that they are triggered by to stop without considering how we got here and the consequences of their request.

Thanks KK, nice work, keep it up and we'll be following.

I'm still struggling to conceptualise 'the activist' but there does seem to be a pattern to their behaviour.

Seems that they know they want in soundbite terms.

- "Ceasefire"

- "End apartheid"

- "Stop Oil"

They cannot state "why" and in anything other than a string of soundbites.

And the "how" hasn't entered their heads as something that they should be address.

It does seem that the brighter amongst them (let's say the ones with phones) try to answer the "why" in a kind of string of soundbites they've collected over time in a kind of trial and error way.

The brighter still (let's say those with a profession) seem to answer the "why" base on an internally coherent mental model based on a mix of their professional training and the ideological corruption that has infected their perceptions. Whilst this might be internally coherent, it's not coherent with the external world.

There is a fourth case that transcends those above and I think this is when you're internal model is consistent within itself AND with the world. Only then can you answer the "why" in a serious and credibility way.

“The world is on fire, not here but in the tropics!” OMG Does he perform at children’s parties? 😂😂😂😂

I like this type of reporting. It is good to see just what the protesters think. You have reported, not told me what I should think.

Love your interviews in these protests. So sad how little people understand the situations they are out there protesting. When people react with emotions not knowing or understanding the facts it is impossible to reason with them so your approach is great.

This was really interesting to watch. Amazing level of ignorance by protestors and KK’s questions simply and beautifully enabled this to be shown. But it is difficult to become informed about climate change and the history of the Israeli-Palestine issue as where does one go to find out the truth? It takes a lot of work to dig around these issues and to find reliable sources of information and even then you have to think the truth lies somewhere between. The work of KK/ Triggernometry and others helps and thank you so much for that. 🙏🏼

Didn't know substack could work like this... Interesting

Loving what you’re doing. Keep it up. And as others have said, the JSO protesters seem just so incredibly naive. And the pro Palestinian supporters in this video appear on the whole, ‘well meaning’ but again, uninformed and naive. They appear not to understand the issues but bang on about democracy and equal rights without any real knowledge of who Hamas are or what they represent. They seem, to me, to be ‘useful idiots’, which I find embarrassing and shocking in equal measure.

Some of these interviewees are probably well meaning but don't much fancy looking at the whole picture; others are in danger of sounding like they are participating in a Not The Nine O'Clock News sketch. Well done again, KK.

Wow. This is the exact type of reporting we need eight now. While I love your "honest conversations with fascinating people" I feel what's needed in more new media getting out on the streets to give a realistic, trustworthy account of what is going on. Well done!

Brilliant effort as always, KK. As others have noted, your respectful and straightforward questions allowed us to see how naive and uninformed many of the protesters are, and why we should A. Assume Nothing; B. Believe Nothing; C. Check Everything.

More please!

Those poor Palestinians have been treated this way for 75 years, and were murdered, raped, terrorized, and ethnically cleansed in 1948 by the murderous maniac members of the Stern Gang.

You should interview Elica Le Bon and Sophia Salm Khalifa.
