On returning to the huge show with Steven Bartlett we discussed the end of the post-WW2 order, how Europe and Britain are committing economic, industrial and cultural suicide and the geopolitical realignment happening today.
KK is wrong about the accelerationist theory, that it will wake people up. This is false hope. Especially, the bit that he thinks is what will turn the boat around. I am sorry to say but there is no going back, there is only forwards. All we could manage to do is put the boat in a different direction than what it is heading in at the moment. This, " it's gotta hurt" BS doesn't make sense to me. Please give me an example of the, "it is got to get really bad and then people with stop lying to themselves and then things will get better", ever happening in history or any other country.
I would like for Konstantin to explore his theory with historians or other knowledgeable minds on the subject. But untill then, it doesn't makes sense and coming from a country where things got really bad, I haven't experienced such a thing. Why is Konstantin pushing this theory with no real practical reasoning behind it?
I agree with him, or more accurately, we are of a simmilar mind… to explain it would take a lot of time, but I have lived thousands 3 wars, he does have a point, while he may not know fully the depths of chaos it includes… accelerationism, is forward, his reasoning is along the lines of “the sooner it hurts, really hurts, and breaks, the sooner we can work on recovery and moving on”
As someone who already listened to the full conversation on DOAC's YouTube channel already, I have to point out to you that it has just been released here more recently.
Yep, a real good one KK!
I do wonder, considering how tired you are of being correct all the time, do you even remember the last time you were wrong?

And for that one needs pain
I agree war changes things. Is this "its gotta hurt" you are speaking of?
It doesn’t have to be a war, but it has to be felt severely, so people really want a change… otherwise we will end up where we started
Tell me where this has happened before in history without it being war?
Considering the discussion has just been released , have you listened to the 1 and a half hour long discussion?

Various revolutions, to get out of systems or after a massive industrial change… not wars but not bloodless either
Looking forward to the aforementioned Triggernometry interview.
Steven has a compelling and interesting story that would be interesting to contextualize with current events.
