What's the one thing that nobodies talking about, but we should be:)
Of all the guests that you've had Triggernometry over the years, which three have had the most earthshattering impact in terms of changing your worldview and the way you think about the problems of the West?
Long-time subscriber - ever since “you weren’t the experts, you asked the experts”.
Thank you for being a voice reason & common sense when they seem in short supply.
First, as a proposed solution to so many of the problems you identify, could I ask what you think of HealthyDebate.org (@healthydebateorg on Substack)
That doesn’t neatly fit into an AMA though, so can I also ask: if you could have dinner with anyone alive/from history who you would invite to the table?
You and Francis were talking about the Rodney King beating.
My brother was cellmates with Rodney King. And there are things that you should know about the case.
Rodney King was on Angel Dust PCP at the time of his arrest, which gave him superhuman strength.
There are two tests for PCP, the very inaccurate blood test and the super accurate hair test. The police only ran the blood test, which gave a false negative. But the authorities refused to give the super accurate hair test, because they didn't want to know the truth.
Twenty years later Rodney King drowned alone in his swimming pool. And the autopsy revealed that he had PCP in his system.
So this is a situation like George Floyd, where drug abuse by the perp was the actual cause of the incident.
The police sergeant Stacey Koon, in charge of the Rodney King arrest, wrote a fantastic book on the matter called Presumed Guilty. Konstantin and Francis should interview him. Oprah already had Koon on her show.
At the time I had a friendly one on one personal meeting with Ed Meese, Reagan's attorney general. Meese was a big supporter of the Rodney King officers. Meese is still alive, Francis and Konstantin should interview him as well.
Greetings from a born & raised scouser who bailed a long time ago, lives in Palm Beach & now has dule citizenship in both UK & USA. Fell in love with a Floridian & we just celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary this year. We were hoping to bump into you at Tommy Robinson March for free speech in London which of course would have been a miracle with the numbers in attendance. My husband & I fell into the group that don't normally go to protest but we were so devastated after the shooting of Charlie Kirk we jumped on a plane & flew to London for the weekend to attend the march we felt that strongly ( having a load of air miles helped ) Of course unbelievable experience that will be remembered for a long time.
My question:
DO YOU THINK ADVANCE UK & BEN HABIB HAVE ANY FUTURE/LEGS IN THE GAME OR WILL THEY JUST SPLIT THE VOTES & ALLOW LABOR TO REMAIN?
Do you think Britain’s unravelling is driven more by incompetence or cowardice – and can it remain a free, open, and democratic society without a shared belief system to hold it together?
In the recent past, while discussing the misguided Net Zero policies, you've expressed doubts about the significance of the economic impacts of global warming.
It seems intuitive that any climate-dependent activity will be adversely affected (agriculture = reduced yields/higher costs, health care - Increased costs/greater disease burden, real estate - property damage/falling values, energy - higher consumption/grid strain, labor - lost productivity/adverse work conditions, insurance - Increased premiums/coverage losses)
Compounding the above is that the greatest relative impact will likely be on low- and middle-income countries who can't adapt as fast as developed economies, hence these impacts, while complex, will also be unevenly distributed.
it is fair to compare impacts to remedies (standard risk/reward analysis) and reducing carbon output is a failed strategy - we need to be pushing hard to innovate and deploy non-carbon alternative power sources (e.g. nuclear) that economically replace carbon sources, instead of crippling our economies by stepping on the energy brakes.
I believe the impacts are significant and need to be better quantified.
Do you think full scale digital monitoring/existence similar to China is inevitable in the UK (under any government, even with Reform who are opposed) and ultimately globally, and therefore nowhere to escape?
And as a follow up, is this really, as some say, the life’s work of the so called “Global Elite” and who do you think they are? Soros? Gates? Are we all The Fellowship of the Ring going up against Sauron?!
Can you explain the political/philosophical intersection, if any, between the globalize the intifada movement and critical race theory? And specifically, how Qatar’s role in funding Departments of Middle Eastern Studies in American universities promotes woke ideology? (Please ignore my previous unintentional comment.)

Good question
You’ve said you love the uk and don’t pls to move, but you seem to be more aligned with where America is going. Are you really not considering moving?
What do you envision is the terminus of technological development, and what then will remain of evolved and untamed Nature, or Man's freedom?

Congrats!

I would love to know your thoughts!
...How many crimes have to happen before there is a public demand for protective total surveillance?
Btw, I am actually mortally afraid of this eventuality and the future of the UK. My lighthearted tone is protectionism!
